We have had a number of requests to provide more coverage on powwows and other Native American celebrations, but have declined to do so because most do not qualify for this Headline News feature (read About News Headlines). However, we have settled on another plan to honor those requests. As of September 19, 2007, we will be hosting another blog that will simply be entitled Powwows. Although our priorities and goals will likely evolve, as of right now we intend to:
- Run press releases on any powwow or similar event in North America
- Provide lead-ins to other coverage of powwows
- Cover the results of powwows where prizes are awarded
